Now that the detente in the church has been ripped open by the Vigano report, we need to reassess what the battle field really looks like.
In 1973, Our Lady appeared to a nun in Japan. She warned that unless men repent, fire would fall from heaven and the good with the bad would perish. It would be an awful terror, so terrible that the living survivors would envy the dead. This same warning occurred at Fatima in 1917. This warnings were given on October 13th of each year. Also, the Italian mystic named Blessed Maria Aiello had similar locutions warning of a terrible fire that would purify the wicked unless men repent.
Fire from Heaven? Gee… Where have we seen that before?
Punishment fits the crime, and it is no different here. I’ve always been surprised that people do not connect fire from heaven with that punishment in Scripture. It happened at Sodom and Gomorrah. So, we know from these warnings that the crime would have something to do with what was wrong there — namely, sodomy and rape. Today, after the Vigano report, people are finally listening a little bit more.
In case anyone just doesn’t want to believe that (and there seems to be a lot of them) on August 30 a roof collapsed in Italy. It just so happens that the church is the titular parish of Cardinal Coccopalmerio. You know who he is, right? Just last year he was embarrassed by news videos leaking a gay brothel occurring in his apartment. For some reason, people were shocked, but nothing happened. 450 years earlier, to the day, Pope Pius V had issued a Bull titled Horredum Illud Scelus. (hat tip to The Josias for publishing this on that day). In it, the Pope cites “that horrible crime, by which corrupt and obscene cities were destroyed by fire through divine condemnation.”
Message received. (At least for most of us). This aint’t the kind of thing you ignore.
These Criminals Get Sent to Civil Authorities, Put to Death
St. Pius V also gave a rather clear fix issued by the Fifth Lateran Council: “Let any member of the clergy caught in that vice against nature, given that the wrath of God falls over the sons of perfidy, be removed from the clerical order or forced to do penance in a monastery.” But, in the case of a rampant problem… a subculture, let’s say, he tells us to turn these guys over to the civil authorities. Actually, I prefer the way Pius labelled it, a “contagion”:
So that the contagion of such a grave offense may not advance with greater audacity by taking advantage of impunity, which is the greatest incitement to sin, and so as to more severely punish the clerics who are guilty of this nefarious crime and who are not frightened by the death of their souls, we determine that they should be handed over to the severity of the secular authority, which enforces civil law.
Pius V made it pretty clear how this is supposed to work:
Therefore, wishing to pursue with greater rigor than we have exerted since the beginning of our pontificate, we establish that any priest or member of the clergy, either secular or regular, who commits such an execrable crime, by force of the present law be deprived of every clerical privilege, of every post, dignity and ecclesiastical benefice, and having been degraded by an ecclesiastical judge, let him be immediately delivered to the secular authority to be put to death, as mandated by law as the fitting punishment for laymen who have sunk into this abyss.
Got that? Put to death. In others words, no fooling around with the perpetrators. No encounter groups. No bridges built. Just swift removal of the contagion. The lay oversight is over the perpetrator, and with an executioner. Lay oversight is not over the innocent bishops.
It probably makes sense now why, just before this issue got ripped open that more tinkering with the catechism and how it discusses the death penalty happened.
Bishop Against Bishop, Cardinal Against Cardinal
Said Our Lady at Akita:
“The work of the devil will infiltrate even into the Church in such a way that one will see cardinals opposing cardinals, bishops against bishops. The priests who venerate me will be scorned and opposed by their confreres…churches and altars sacked; the Church will be full of those who accept compromises and the demon will press many priests and consecrated souls to leave the service of the Lord.”
Full of those who accept compromises? So the problem is broader than the homosexual contagion. The problem is the detente with the devil. Being lax on error. Going along to get along, it seems.
The Contagion was Warned of Hand in Hand with Communion in the Hand
While the criminal perpetrators have been frolicking around in clerics, some of whom lectured us on the need to be more tolerant, Our Lady gave us a clue in her Akita apparitions as to where the battle line should be drawn. During those apparitions, Sr. Sasagawa received the stigmata on her left hand. The statue of Our Lady had a matching cross-shaped stigmata in the right hand. She and Bishop Ito interpreted this as a sign against receiving communion in the hand. Japan had a vote of its bishops in 1970 permitting communion in the hand. Three years later, Our Lady would tell them it was wrong. This aspect of Akita condemning communion in the hand is frequently ignored by commenters today. Yet, Sister Sasagawa and Bishop Ito repeatedly told anyone who asked that this was a major aspect of Our Lady’s message.
Our Lady was telling us that the compromise over Communion in the hand was too much. That compromise should be ended, but I’ve reported on that before as Fr. Hardon was so emphatic to stop it.
The Bishop who ended Communion in the Hand in his Diocese
One of the first bishops to speak out against the homosexual subculture in the church after the Vigano report was Bishop Morlino. We recall that he was also one of the only bishops to call for his diocese to stop communion in the hand. It is no wonder that he got this one right, too. He also called on Our Lady and St. Michael the archangel to intercede in the battle afoot against the “ancient foe.” God bless Bishop Morlino!
ERRATA: I had received several notes that my characterization of what Bishop Morlino did was wrong — he did not end Communion in the hand. too bad! Someone needs to do it first.
The American Bishops were Forced to Compromise by Bernadin (a contagion himself)
While I can make a Thomastic argument about punishment fitting the crime and justice, I’m not sure how to make a precise argument of the nexus connecting communion in the hand to the sexual abuse. But, the two are related. In 1977, just prior to his term as president of the national conference of Catholic Bishops ending, Archbishop Joseph Bernadin forced his third vote to permit communion in the hand in the United States. Notice that the United States fought it for seven years longer than Japan. It was only permitted after a fraudulent vote. The American bishops had been smarter and resisted that long. Bernadin was unable to get it to pass previously in his two earlier attempts. It should have never been allowed. It is telling that it was Bernadin, well suspected and known to have been an abuser and homosexual contagion, that forced the error, though.
The Homosexual Contagion Attempts to Deform Eucharistic Theology
At first, it would seem to be a stretch, but priests that are justifying the homosexuality in the church and covering up the sexual abuse are making the strangest comments about the Eucharist and homosexual acts.
Father Rosica thinks Homosexual Sodomy is like Sacrament of the Eucharist?
I’m almost afraid to publish this blasphemy lest lightning strike the mere repetition of such error.
Father Rosica, the head of Salt and Light television, speaking at a conference on Amoris Laetitia, makes the most bizarre comment that Eucharist is a gift of self and then tries to analogize this to homosexual activity. No sane person would make this analogy.
(transcript of Fr. Rosica speaking: stress that, please remember that there is a sexual nature to the Eucharist. “This is my body given for you” and we need to root that in human sexuality and in love and it helps us to even better appreciate the Sacrament of the Eucharist]
Anathema sit. Notice the woman on the left realizing what caca she is hearing at :08 seconds.
Also, the previously shamed head of the Dominicans, Fr. Radcliffe had also made similar comments attempting to connect the Blessed Sacrament to be like homosexual activity. In 2013 in reposes to the Anglican Pilling Report, he said:
How does all of this bear on the question of gay sexuality? We cannot begin with the question of whether it is permitted or forbidden! We must ask what it means, and how far it is Eucharistic. Certainly it can be generous, vulnerable, tender, mutual and non-violent. So in many ways, I would think that it can be expressive of Christ’s self-gift. We can also see how it can be expressive of mutual fidelity, a covenantal relationship in which two people bind themselves to each other for ever.
Father Radcliffe as quoted in LifeSiteNews Vatican Appointee says gay sex can express Christ’s ‘self-gift’ (2015).
Needless to say, Salt and Light has a so-called “witness” interview of Radcliffe (unlisted YouTube video, linked here and on the Salt and Light website here). The YouTube page says that the video was updated on March 6, 2018.
The Nexus is in Destroying Communion, Our Lady
These people are sick. Guilt damages reason. Repeated guilt apparently damages the brain. What is so sad is that each of these has had the sacrament of confession (which removes guilt) available to them easily. They still do. But, like Pius V called it, it is a “contagion.”
Worse, this contagion is trying to undermine the Sacrament of Holy Communion and substitute some expression of a sin that cries to Heaven for vengeance. This is born of hell.
Fortunately, we do not need to waste time rationalizing the logic of evil. What we can understand is that a sick demonic theology, if we can call it “theology”, persists among the perpetrators of this crime. It is no wonder why God would wish to burn all of this away with fire. When the children saw the angel with a flaming sword at Fatima, he was holding the sword is left-hand. The left hand is used for the dirtiest of hygiene. As Pope Francis would say, “caca”.
Attacking Our Lady, hell born error
At the beginning of August, a Spanish town had a festival that commemorates a local Marian apparition that happened in 1481. A local priest hosted a pack of transvestites at his parish and promoted a picture of them in the sanctuary. Naturally, if you understand the evil afoot, he justified the blasphemous picture of these creatures by attacking the Blessed Mother.
The LifeSiteNews report said “The Virgin Mary has never appeared to anyone, not in Gran Canaria, Fatima or Lourdes, Father Báez has reportedly claimed. He has apparently insisted that Our Lady only ever existed in Nazareth, Bethlehem, Jerusalem and Egypt – and nowhere else.“ Pray for that priest to repent and convert again to God. It will be an awful day for him to face Our Lord, let alone the angels. But, he has to try and erase the Blessed Mother’s warning to us or he’d be condemning his actions.
Grasping at Divinity, Raising the Demonic
That’s what we are dealing with. Eve grasped for the apple with her hand. By doing so, the serpent had convinced her she would become “like God.” When we take things in our hands, it is if we have dominion over it, we control it. A priest’s hands are consecrated at his holy ordination. A permanent mark changes the priest. His hands are set aside by God. The rest of us, by taking the body of Christ into our hands would seem to be taking part in some sort of satanic serpentine logic once again that we will become “like Gods.” Thus, maybe the connection is this: by handling divine flesh, people think they can do whatever they want with lesser flesh. (cue the fire!)
They Ignore the Problems in the Same Way: Attack the Innocent
For years the hierarchy had put aside the homosexual scandals that surfaced and acted like there was no real problem. Pope Francis even reinstated a number of them, such as Cardinal McCarrick and Fr. Radclifffe, mentioned above. We keep learning of others as well. Now, report after report is coming up detailing disgusting ways in which the flesh of seminarians and priests were abused by criminals among the bishops. These same criminal bishops demand an oath of loyalty to them from these abused priests. The contagion spread and has been passed on to new generations of priest who will become bishops and cardinals as well. These crimes were shrugged off and ignored. Worse, people who insisted on justice and removal of the criminals were attacked and marginalized.
Likewise, people put aside the problem of Communion in the hand. The rationales are legion in Catholic discussion. Most prominently, people give a knee-jerk response that communion the hand is permitted, so it must be okay and does not create problems. Those who bring up the problem are attacked and marginalized. Yet, there is just something wrong with communion in the hand. Our Lady made a painful wound in the hand of Sr. Sasagawa to make the point. Many people rationalize that it is OK because it was practiced in the past. So what? St. Pius V’s Bull reminds us that this homosexual problem has been around in the past as well. That doesn’t make either one of them right. At the heart of the controversy today, the solution to the problem is related to removing the homosexual contagion and stopping Communion in the hand. This is intertwined in some way with what Our Lady warned at Akita.
Today, all of this flailing about and public relations communications pervading Catholic discussion…. What to do to with the sexual abusers masquerading as bishops and cardinals? Should we not turn to Church’s history and tradition?
Saying Nighty-night to the Contagion IS Linked to Ending Communion in the Hand
I think Pius V had it right, turn them over to the guys with badges, guns, and guillotines. Rape is rape. It is a criminal problem that should be solved by the criminal justice system. This other abuse of flesh, abusing the Divine Flesh in the Blessed Sacrament, is a Church problem, though, and we do need to fix that in the Church. To fix it, Our Lady told us that it has something to do with ending Communion in the Hand. The sooner people stop rationalizing it, the sooner we could be on the way to real reform.
I might not be able to explain why in theological precision, but I know from Akita that we won’t be able to say nighty-night, baby to the problem without also fixing communion in the hand.
Meanwhile, we ought to do what Our Lady asks of us: pray the rosary daily.
“As I told you, if men do not repent and better themselves, the Father will inflict a terrible punishment on all humanity. It will be a punishment greater than the deluge, such as one will never seen before. Fire will fall from the sky and will wipe out a great part of humanity, the good as well as the bad, sparing neither priests nor faithful. The survivors will find themselves so desolate that they will envy the dead. The only arms which will remain for you will be the Rosary and the Sign left by My Son. Each day recite the prayers of the Rosary. With the Rosary, pray for the Pope, the bishops and priests.”
Ask your priest about stopping communion in the hand. Ask your bishop. It is tied into this mess. This mess won’t be fixed until we end it.
Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us!
