The Bellarmine Forum Manifesto
The Bellarmine Forum Manifesto
We are the Bellarmine Forum, kindled in 1965 to wage a divine rebellion against the godless lies of our age. Where communism preached a materialist revolution, we proclaim the eternal truth: our purpose is to know, love, and serve God, the Creator who destined us for Himself. We invert the manifestos of atheists and heretics, raising the Cross against the hammer and sickle, as Fr. Ladislas Parker vowed: “Christianity is our last hope against atheistic Communism.“
We reject the atheism that poisons our world, as Dr. Clarence Manion warned: “The malignancy… is atheism.” It fuels secularism’s eclipse of God, eroding families and truth. In 1965, we resolved to expose communism’s deceptions; in 2025, we stand unyielding, armed with reason and faith, as Fr. Ferdinand Falque declared: “Never has a race been found that had no belief in God.”
We condemn modernism, the synthesis of all heresies, cloaking error in progress and relativism. In 1968, we fought its catechetical chaos; in 1977, Fr. Vincent Miceli exposed its subversion of the priesthood. We defy modernism’s betrayal of the Church’s unchanging truth, resolute in our defense of the faith.
We denounce the modernist dream of a theologian-run Church, an elitist super-class that hoards holiness. In 1967, we empowered all laity, from plumber to professor, as Dr. Frank Sheed’s 1969 Creed made truth accessible. All are called to sainthood; holiness is God’s reward, not a scholar’s prize, as our forums have proclaimed since 1965.
We denounce the murderous lies against life-abortion, contraception, and euthanasia-that defy God’s creation. In 1970, William Marra and Ray Kuffel upheld Humanae Vitae‘s truth; our 1973 resolutions championed marriage against these assaults, sustained in Saving Christian Marriage. We proclaim the sanctity of every human life from conception to natural death.
We honor Frank Morriss, a tank-like warrior against error, whose 1977 critique and scathing review of Catholicism‘s modernist deviations fortified our resolve. His pen pierced relativism’s fog, inspiring all to embrace the Church’s truth with unyielding clarity.
We salute Dr. Charles E. Rice, whose 40 years of natural law and pro-life analysis, from 1976 to 1994, armed Catholics with 50 Questions on the Natural Law. His defense of life against the culture of death, rooted in reason and God’s law, remains our beacon.
As the Church Militant, we fight for Truth with the weapons God gave us: faith and reason, the Real Presence of Jesus Christ in the Blessed Sacrament, and the daily Rosary, as Our Blessed Mother urged at Fatima in 1917. In 1965, our Mass for the “Church of Silence” drew strength from the Eucharist; our forums call all to wield these divine tools-accessible to every soul-to vanquish error’s darkness.
We pledge fidelity to God and His Church, the pillar of truth. With St. Robert Bellarmine, we uphold the Pope as the supreme judge of God’s law, resisting modernist and communist deceits. Our Forum Quarterly‘s Unholy Alliance unmasked liberation theology’s lies. Our archives-from 1965’s defiance to 1994’s family defense-ignite today’s battles. We arm Catholics to live boldly.
We are a conspiracy of faith, as Paul H. Hallett named us, uniting laity and scholars. Join us: know God through reason, love Him through sacrifice, serve Him by defending His Church. The issue is atheism, modernism, and anti-life lies. The answer is God. Join our rebellion. Subscribe, donate, explore our legacy. Know, love, and serve God with us.
