QUINQUAGESIMA SUNDAY – THE FORTY HOURS’ DEVOTION.
Quinquagesima Sunday is the preparation for Lent, with our Church teaching us of spiritual danger and maxims of the Gospel to help regain our faith.
FEBRUARY 19 – ST. BARBATUS, BISHOP.

Take inspiration from St. Simeon and his unwavering faith in the face of persecution – convert the world around you with his faith, patience, and example. Through incredible faith and perseverance amid suffering, St. Simeon converted thousands to Christianity while leading Jerusalem’s Church for forty-three years.
FEBRUARY 17 – ST. FLAVIAN, BISHOP, MARTYR.
Take courage from St. Flavian, who sealed his fidelity to the Pope with his blood during a battle against Eutyches’ heresy. Learn the inspiring story of St. Flavian and his uncompromised loyalty to the Roman Pontiff by refusing to yield to money, heresy and even violent persecution!
FEBRUARY 16 – BLESSED JOHN DE BRITTO, MARTYR. ST. ONESIMUS, DISCIPLE OF ST. PAUL.
John de Britto bravely left everything behind and dedicated himself to converting 10K+ Hindoos despite violent opposition and a martyr’s death. Once a slave, Onesimus met with St. Paul and received his letter of recommendation before becoming a missionary & martyr through faith in God’s love.
