    Doesn’t Bishop Martin have more important things to worry about than the Latin Mass, which helps people keep contact with the God of ages? His diocese was shredded by Hurricane Helene. Have those churches and faithful members received attention? Have their worship spaces been restored and families cared for as Paul so frequently mentions in his writings? Taking away the Traditional Mass which was allowed is ridiculous when there is so much evil around us that we need every prayer that can been offered, every soul inspired to help one’s neighbor. Wrong move, Bishop. There are more pressing things needing your attention.

    The best is the last paragraph in this FAQ propaganda rag – “What should people do who find the TLM a blessing? Answer – Engage in some acts of penance and charity for the healing of the Church.”

    I will go to the altar of God, the God who gives joy to my youth.

    When did respect for the Pope and Bishop Martin become so attractive ? Permission for the Latin Mass was temporary. Unfortunately parishes were used for the Masses, when the recommendation was to have the Latin Mass in another building than the parish. The diocesan decision to use parishes has misplaced the TEMPORARY Permission into a lifestyle that has done away with the richness of the NovusOrdo.

    I have attended daily English Mass and the readings were used from Pre Vatican II….no notice was given to the parish. Women’s role in being a lector has been stopped when they can get men.
    Communion to the sick and dying has been a weakness since there are no more Eucharistic Ministers. Activities that focus on the needs of others in the parish and the community have been quietly stopped. Even a word before Mass that MR / Mrs is sick has been taboo. Announcement of a parishioners death has been eliminated. We don’t know when someone has died or is sick.

    All the changes that have been introduced to make a parish the Latin parish have driven parishioners away. High Rite music, Latin Music emphasis has cost the parish the souls of past parishoners. The expensive vestments and altar items for the Latin Mass have led parishioners to be question the direction of the parish? Is the parish in UNION with our bishop and Pope.?

    Instead of criticizing our bishop, let’s be at work in the vineyard with faith, reach out to any person we meet and be obedient to
    Churches foundation whether we like it or not. Let’s listen to Christ Crucified. Christ in the community. SERVIUM.

    Let’s pray for one another and ask for humility.
    Disrespect of the Bishop and Pope is not becoming.

    Someday, God willing, when the last octogenarian left in the last unclosed Novus Ordo parish has finally kicked the bucket, and their churches are all empty and sold off to the local theater troupe — then those of us in thriving traditional communities won’t have to listen to their incessant blather any more.
