The Catholic Church and the Obama Nation

Never before in its history has the United States been so secular and godless. Never before has there been such hostility—overtly and covertly – toward not only the Catholic Church and her teachings, but also toward common sense.  This, unfortunately, is the program of the Obama Administration.  Indeed, it is not inappropriate to say that we face a cataclysmic moment for the human race. The false and murderous program of the power elites (that has its origins in the Enlightenment) has already laid the groundwork for a post human age – a cold, inhospitable world where people are not cherished and loved, but valued only for their usefulness, in which human persons are nothing other than talking machines.  Only through Christ and His Church can effective combat can be made to restore man to his holy destiny. We must do our part to fight and preserve that truth which has been given to us. Purchase this scintillating analysis now and engage!

  • PAUL R. MCGOOKIN says:

IF ANYONE TRIES TO COME BETWEEN ME AND MY GOD BY TRYING TO DIMINISH MY ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH,

I WILL SLAP ‘EM DOWN! Even Jesus threw a fit by kicking butt in the temple.

  • Michael Clemons says:

Obama has been relentless in his attacks on the Catholic Church. How could ANY Catholic vote for this person ?

    • JFTortorella says:

I am prolife and Catholic to the core. Until 2 years ago, I was always Republican. Over the past couple years, the conduct of the Rebublicans in Congress has caused both me and my husband to change our registration to Democrat and we will vote for Obama. We are prolife, but we also belief in life for adults; and as Catholics, we believe in helping the poor, disabled and seniors as well as the preborn. The Republicans insist that it is okay to cut services to the neediest instead of raising one cent of revenue by closing tax loopholes or increasing any taxes whatsoever on the top 1% of earners. That is as un-Christian as anything Obama has done. I wish he didn’t think women should be able to get abortions, because I know abortion is wrong, but to say he is at war with the Church is not fair. Instead of hating him as most Republicans do, those who are Christians should be praying for him to move closer to Christ and to govern justly. They should also pray that the Republican candidates quit lying and that they start caring about all the people–not just the wealthy ones. Your post suggests that you think you’re more of a Christian than I am (or that any Democrat Christian is), and that is simply not in line with Catholic teaching. You’re supposed to love others, not hate them. I find your post very hateful. Hopefully it just sounded that way and you don’t really feel hatred toward everyone who disagrees with you. But I have to tell you, I have sadly encountered many, many people who spew hatred and have no love in their hearts.

Certainly no hatred here, JFT, and thank you for your comment. Both political parties are not free from blame and both fall far short of what is required by Catholic Social Teaching. However, this publication delves into the underlying philosophy of the President and the pervasive secularism and relativism that has come to dominate the political and moral discourse in this country. Good Catholics can disagree about prudential decisions, but we may certainly not waver from the protection of innocent human life. The Obama Administration stands foursquare in support of the murder of the unborn. This is just a fact. And now, he has–through the HHS mandate–significantly infringed our religious liberty by forcing religious institutions to pay for sterilization and contraception (many of which are abortifacient in nature). Indeed we must pray for the President and his conversion, but let us make no mistake that he has set himself up as an enemy of the Church.

  • Meliandil says:

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thine intercession was left unaided. Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins, my mother; to thee do I come, before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy mercy hear and answer me.

Mother, I ask that you watch over our nation and pray that those of us who profess to be Christian may show Christ to the world through our actions and our decisions.

    In Jesus’ Name,
    Amen.
