Feast of St. Andrew: Time to start your Christmas Novena!!!

This is always the toughest novena every year for me. I sometimes forget to start. Other years, I get going strong and then something happens and I found myself trying to catch up for missed days. The past few years have been good, though. I saved an image of a holy card with this novena on my phone!  Now, I always have it with me!

Of course, ever since I’ve done that, I remember the novena word for word by heart…  LOL

Don’t have a holy card to take a picture of?  I got your back — just save this image to your photos. Make an album called “Prayers” and save this picture to that album. Now, it’s always with you. (win!)

You still need to pray the prayer, though!  Fifteen times daily!

This version of the novena prayer received an Imprimatur from Michael Augustine, Archbishop of New York on February 6, 1897:

CHRISTMAS NOVENA

Hail and blessed be the hour and
moment in which the Son of God was
born of the most pure Virgin Mary, at
midnight, in Bethlehem, in piercing cold.
In that hour, vouchsafe, O my God,
to hear my prayer and grant my desires
through the merits of our Saviour, Jesus Christ,
and of His Blessed Mother. Amen.
